Teens For Sustainable Livestock (T4SL) Project
Teens For Sustainable Livestock (T4SL) Project
We are raising Sustainable Livestock Champions through our Catch-Them-Young initiative. This project enhances the capacity of the girl child and the teenage boys in the rural and/or urban suburbs in Africa. The impact of this project directly contributes to Goal 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8 and 10 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
How are we implementing this project?
The project framework is to train students in selected secondary schools located in the rural and urban-suburbs on backyard/household micro-livestock production for a period and empower the students with live animals to rear, multiply and earn revenue. We bridge the gap between our beneficiaries and the market.
The T4SL Project is aimed at:
- Exposing the girl child and teenage boys to the concept of sustainable livestock transformation at an early age.
- Empowering the rural child for better livelihood and financial capacity to further their education.
- Nurturing and sustaining the interest of the rural child in livestock farming in support of the agricultural diversification agenda in Africa.
- Ensuring Zero Hunger and good health through increased production of micro-livestock in Africa.
- Encouraging eco-friendly livestock production in Africa.
